Cost of Food Drinks in Bars and Cafeteria in Barcelona

Generally, products in bus or train stations are far more expensive than the regular one. That may be true also in Barcelona but since I found the prices cheaper than Netherlands prices,(where my flight came from) I did not bother sitting inside the Reus station cafeteria and biting some locally made sandwich and a having a cold bottle of bubbled/carbonated water. It was warm at that time with at least 30°C so it was really a need and after all, it was nearly 1 PM. The cafeteria is situated in front of the ticket teller/desk.

I usually do not buy stuff in stations or in cafeterias while traveling both for safety and price considerations but it was inside the station and was cheaper and was full of customers and so I let myself in as well. It also allows smokers to smoke and since my companion was a smoker, it suited both of us.

Be careful with your trip though: you may forget the time cause by time difference or any other stuff, just be careful. But in case a train stops by, it is visible from the cafeteria/bar and a quick dash will still allow you to reach your train in case that certain trip is the trip where you should be in.

Reaching Barcelona From Reus Airport Tarragona

Arriving at Reus Airport- What To Do? - Flying to Barcelona has three major possibilities of landing that I know of: Girona airport, Reus airport, and the Barcelona proper airport itself. We chose to arrive at the Reus airport and it was not a bad experience after all. We arrived at around 11:30 there on a Saturday and the tourist information desk, at the right side, around the exit to the bus stops, is very helpful. We were guided as what to take and what to do to reach Barcelona. It is still a couple of hours totaling the waiting time and the travel time.

Hispano Igualadina schedule, how to reach barcelona from reus, transportation from reus airport to barcelona

Direct Bus from Reus Airport to Barcelona
Above is the schedule of a bus comapany called Hispano Igualadina that transports passengers to and from Reus Airport to Barcelona Sants stacio. Please take note that if you go and visit the site [click] http://www.igualadina.net you can download the schedule that may look similar to the screenshot of the trips' schedule that we downloaded for our own use above. Be sure to read the legends: the colors indicate if a trip is daily or only on certain days. When we arrived on Saturday noon, we had to take the train instead as there was no bus that goes directly to Barcelona from Reus airport on that certain time.

Taxi Service at Reus Airport
There are taxis near the bus stops at the exit of the airport but be careful. They usually take passengers to the train station and NOT to Barcelona unless you make it clear and be very clear with the fares.

Rail Transport to Barcelona- It was Partly Fun!
Since there was no bus to Barcelona, we had to reach therail station from Reus Airport. In fact the tourist desk, once you ask will give you the following information:
1. Schedule of the next bus to the rail station - printed and she marked it for us
2. Schedule of the train to Barcelona

The fare from Reus Airport to the train station is/was €4,60 for two persons or €2,30 per person. Then, the rail fare was like €7-something for each person. It was NOT expensive. Don't be disappointed.

Look at the Positive Things in Life- the bright side of stuff...
You may think it's a waste of time or something if a rail transportation is utilized. "Traveling is not only about the destination but the journey itself", thus, be glad. We wanted to take the direct bus to Barcelona but unexpectedly, we took the train. And what we had? We saw:
1. The country side
2. A bit of planatation
3. Mural expressions of the locals (it might be grafitti but it gives identity to the place/country)
4. Long shorelines... much much of beaches (that was really relaxing)

See? It was beautiful to hear Spanish conversations around, feel the country and just feel the flow. Thus, travelling by rail, and delaying the schedule a bit for arriving in Barcelona is not that bad. Just enjoy your "journey".

Most Economical Flight Barcelona

For Europeans, using ryanair is very common. It is one of the most economical means to reach a destination in many parts of the continent. Ne careful however, as if you fly from Europe going Barcelona, the basic fare is not what you pay. There are a lot of add-ons when it comes to ryan air (or any other airlines if they show the difference between the basic fare and the final bill to the passenger). If the passenger wisher to board first, priority boarding can be purchased... or even urination within the flight, the passenger is required to shell out some amount.

In my case, we had our departure from Dusseldurf Weeze as I live in Netherlands, and the flight landed in Tarragona airport, Reus. Since ryanair ask not so much for a fair, expect to land on a low-cost airport as well, more often than not, (or it might even be all the time) the departure and landing are in airports far away from the city.

Be guided on the additional fees in a sample flight query screenshot I display here. If I can find the screen shot of my boarding pass, I will post it here as well. Visit www.ryanair.com for your flight queries.

ryan air tips, flight with ryan air, how ryan air works, how cheap air fare works

Take note
:
1. The use of credit card has a fee of €10 per passenger
2. Use Visa electron to avoid extra charge
3. If you are fast and not a shy person, no need to pay for priority boarding- others who do not even have priority boarding also board before those who have paid (like us) the fee of €6 each to board before the others.
4. Be wise; since you want to save, don't miss your flight.
5. The non-EEA passengers' desk, they are very efficient (I am not sure if effective though) and quick in checking those Non-EEA passengers. My salute to you, ryanair personnel!

Where is Barcelona? Geography of Barcelona

The simple answer to this question is to answer, "in Spain!" with a matching finger pointing to the direction of the country. However, taking the question serious, one would answer that the city, named Barcelona is located on the northeast coast of the Iberian Peninsula, facing the Mediterranean Sea, on a plateau approximately 5 km or approximately 3 miles wide limited by the mountain range of Collserola, the Llobregat river to the south-west and the Besòs river to the north. This plateau has 170 square kilometers of area, of which 101 km² are occupied by the city itself.

Barcelona is 160 km (100 mi) south of the Pyrenees and the Catalonian border with France.

That serious answer however is not very interesting. To go to Barcelona, simply buy a plane ticket to the city reserve a hotel in there and simply enjoy your time looking, roaming, touring, etcetera around this magnificent big city. I was there! I can assure you will have a great time both with night and day tour.

Aside from the big city, this Catalonian capital has much more things to be proud of: buildings/architectures, seas, mountains and many more. So where is Barcelona? The map below will let you know!
